An Instagram page by the handle Sk8citynairobi posted on Wednesday, July 19, that they would be bringing American rapper Fabulous to perform in Nairobi Kenya on August 10th. Their post elicited a lot of comments from Kenyans who are excited to see the rapper.
“Dega’s House Concert is now on August 10, 2023! And guess what? We’re bringing Hi Hop rapper Fabulous to this epice night of music,” the post read. The account revealed that the rapper would be jetting into the country next month.
They continued by saying,” Get ready for an unforgettable experience filled with incredible and electrifying performances, and non-stop entertainment.”
“If you already have tickets, they will remain valid for the new date. Limited tickets are available, so don’t miss your chance to be part of this unforgettable event,” the account mentioned.
They went ahead to give ticket prices placing the VVIP at Ksh 20, 000. The comment section was filled with reactions from most Kenyans including artists such as Bensoul among others. Some of the comments questioned whether the event was legit, myself included.
I checked Fabulous on Instagram and there was nothing. The American had not posted to indicate if he would be performing in Africa anytime soon. The last time he performed on the continent was last year when he went to Cape Town in South Africa with UK rapper Dave.
There is also no official confirmation from any other blogs, even the ones in America about this planned performance. This spells a lot of red flags and if one is to purchase the tickets, then I would advise against it at least until there’s official communication.
